AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans has broken her silence about her "Teen Mom 2" firing. On Wednesday, May 8, a day after MTV announced that it had parted ways with the reality TV star, the wife of David Eason told Us Weekly that she "saw it coming," but was still "shocked" about it.
"I was a little bit shocked but I saw it coming," Jenelle admitted about learning of her fate on the show. Contrary to rumors which said that she would dispute the network's decision, the 27-year-old said, "It's shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV."
Jenelle also denied that she was "crying" or "hysterical" when the news broke. "I was upset, I'm still upset," she said. Staying positive, she added, "... but this is a new chapter for me and my family. I will continue to try what's best for me and my family."
MTV announced Jenelle's exit on Tuesday. "MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of 'Teen Mom 2' with him since," a spokesperson for the network said in a statement. "Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."
The decision was made after Jenelle's husband David shot and killed their French bulldog, after the dog bit their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley. Not showing any remorse, he confirmed the killing on Facebook. "I don't give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face," he wrote. "Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don't put up with that s**t at all."
He went on claiming, "I'm all about protecting my family, it is my life's mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me You can hate me all you want but this isn't the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge whether or not an animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME."
Jenelle said after the incident that "[divorce is] in thoughts, but nothing is finalized," and that she was "too hurt and upset at the fact he did that." She, however, revealed that she has since mended her relationship with her husband. "David has been here for me since the news broke, he told me to not worry about it and to stay positive," she said.
She continued sharing about how she's been dealing with the issue, "I'm keeping busy and staying focused on my kids and my animals and my business endeavors which have been planned for months. I'm working to fix my marriage as well and moving forward."
Jenelle will reportedly be replaced by Jade Cline from "Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant" on "Teen Mom 2".
