Making an appearance on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' to promote 'Long Shot', the 'Monster' star also spills on how her clumsiness on the romcom's set landed her in the emergency room.

AceShowbiz - Charlize Theron was recently trolled by Rihanna in the form of a birthday wish T-shirt.

The actress made an appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on Wednesday night, May 01, to promote her new romcom "Long Shot (2019)", though the conversation quickly turned to the topic of how she and the music superstar both work with publicist Amanda Silverman.

Charlize shared that she always "sincerely" thought Amanda loved her, though a couple of months ago, she received a parcel from Rihanna containing a T-shirt with the gushing birthday message that she had been sent from the publicist.

"Rihanna had made a T-shirt of the birthday greeting that my publicist gave her, which literally was like, 'To my most favourite client ever, have the best birthday.' And Rihanna wrote in the following email, 'I'm making a T-shirt of this and sending it to Charlize.' "

Charlize then pulled out the T-shirt for the viewers to see, and joked, "I don't think my publicist ever thought that was going to happen!"

Elsewhere in the chat, Seth asked if working with Seth Rogen on "Long Shot" was a departure for her, as she has recently been starring in action films like "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Atomic Blonde". However, the star did confess that she did hurt herself on the set of the film in a rather clumsy way.

"It's always the ones you least expect. I've never gotten injured on an action film, I've always gotten injured on (films like) 'Tully', where I gained like 50 pounds (and) I herniated a disk in my back. And then on this movie, this is so stupid, we had to do a small little action thing, like a tiny little thing, and this really nice stunt guy wanted to put some knee pads on me, and as I sat down just to put the knee pads on, my hands slipped and my head hit a bench behind me, and I ended up in the ER (emergency room). It was so stupid, I was like, 'This is so embarrassing,' " the 43-year-old recalled.

Charlize also divulged that she has never seen the ending of Sacha Baron Cohen's 2006 film "Borat" as she flared up a pre-existing injury while watching the flick with friends.

"Halfway through that movie, I laughed so hard, that my neck locked up. An ambulance had to take me to the hospital, and I was in the hospital for five days. And I didn't finish the movie. I've never, fully finished the movie," she sighed.
