Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015. She previously expressed her love for being a mother during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, "I love being a mom more than I love being an actor or a producer."

The family's Disneyland trip is their second of the year, having also visited Disney World in Florida during spring break. Theron shared heartwarming photos from that trip as well, showing her daughters on rides and enjoying the various attractions.

In addition to her acting career, Theron is also an advocate for adoption. She opened up about her decision to adopt in an interview with NPR, explaining that she wanted to "cast a very wide net" and that her desire to be a mother was not "specific with anything." She has been open about her preference to keep her family life private and has praised her mother, Gerda Theron, for her help in co-parenting her children.
