AceShowbiz - "Game of Thrones" has released a slew of photos from upcoming episode 4 of the eighth and final season. The new 8 photos see the aftermath of the big battle in Winterfell in the April 28 episode of the hit HBO fantasy series.
In the episode, the Night King and his army of the Dead were ultimately defeated after Arya Stark stabbed him with a dragonglass blade. However, that's not the end of everything. Another big war is waiting as Daenerys, Jon Snow and others will be facing off Cersei Lannister in the King's Landing.
The new images see people in Winterfell honoring the dead. A good number of people died in the battle against the death and those who survive doing a mass funeral outside the wall for them.
Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Sansa Stark Tormund, Arya, Grey Worm and Sam Tarwell are seen holding torches in their hand as they walk forward to set fire to the bodies of those who lost in the battle.
The other photos feature team Targaryen (Dany, Missandei, Varys, Grey Worm and Tyrion Lannister among others) and Team Stark (Bran Stark, Sansa, The Hound and Davos among others) watching the funeral pyre. As for Jon Snow, he stands in the middle.
Another picture saw Cersei and Euron Greyjoy who seem to be growing closer each day. Also featured in the new photos is Drogon, the only remaining dragon, and Euron's army sailing for the south.
In related news, fans are wondering if Arya is the reincarnated Azor Ahai after she killed the Night King. Throughout the season, several names have been mentioned as the possible Azor Ahai, including Stannis Baratheon, Jon Snow and Dany.
However, some others debunk the theory of Arya as the reborn of Azor Ahai since she doesn't fit the prophecy. "Darkness will fall heavy on the world. Stars will bleed. The cold breath of winter will freeze the seas, and the dead shall rise in the North. In the ancient books, it is written that a warrior will draw a burning sword from the fire. And that sword will be the Lightbringer," the prophecy reads. Additionally, Azor Ahai is also said to have been born from "salt and smoke," and to "wake dragons from stone."
Fans seemingly have to wait a little more to find out the answer. "Game of Thrones" season 8 airs on Sundays at 9 P.M. on HBO.
