AceShowbiz - Naomi Campbell turned heads when she arrived at the Time 100 Gala at Lincoln Center in New York City on Tuesday, April 23. While her look was everything, one thing that also needed to be highlighted was her epic reaction when she was asked about what she thought about rumors that Kim Kardashian is copying her styles.
"Kim Kardashian recently shut down rumors that you two were feuding. How did that even get started?" Entertainment Tonight's Brooke Anderson asked. The supermodel, who attended the event with Valentino Creative Director Pier Paolo Piccioli, gave an epic response to the question which made it seem like she threw a subtle shade at the reality TV star.
The 48-year-old beauty, who was stunning in a shimmering gold floor-length gown, said without hesitation, "Next question." The best part was that she did it while smiling.
The KKW Beauty founder has been the center of criticism after social media users noticed that the makeup mogul's recent style looked a lot like what the British stunner wore in the past. And last month, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star appeared to admit that Naomi was indeed the inspiration behind some of her looks.
Taking to Instagram, Kim shared several pictures of her sporting the multi-colored vintage dress that she wore to Chance the Rapper's wedding. She captioned the pictures, "Naomi forever," pretty much acknowledging that the stunner was the one who wore it first.
People started accusing Kim of copying Naomi's look after she was spotted sporting a vintage cheetah print Azzedine Alaia, a cage-neck leather mini dress, a silver ruffled mock-neck gown and a liquid glitter cowl neck dress among others. Naomi had wore all the outfits in the past. "Is she here just to ruin the fashion industry for everyone?" one blasted Kim at the time. "She manages to make it all look so cheap and trashy," another said.
Even Naomi apparently couldn't deny the similarity as she threw some subtle shades at the wife of Kanye West by posting throwback pictures of her wearing the outfit that Kim wore.
