The 'Baby Boy' hitmaker looks uncomfortable as the 'Power' actor accidentally lands his second kiss on her lips when he greets Bey and her husband Jay-Z at the awards show.

AceShowbiz - Omari Hardwick has taken the heat after an awkward encounter with Beyonce Knowles at the 2019 NAACP Image Awards. The actor was slammed by Beyhive after he accidentally kissed the R&B diva on the lips at the Saturday, March 30 event.

In a video shared by a fan, Omari greeted Jay-Z and Beyonce who sat in the front row inside the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The 45-year-old actor kissed the former Destiny's Child member twice. After he kissed her once on the cheek, the "Power" star went back for seconds and kissed the "Formation" songstress again, this time landing on her lips.

Fans claimed that Beyonce looked uncomfortable after Omari's greeting and Jay-Z looked a bit upset too with Omari's affection towards his wife. Many have taken to Twitter to lash out at the James "Ghost" St. Patrick on the Starz series, saying he overstepped his boundaries by kissing Bey twice at the awards show.

"2nd kiss was unnecessary & uncomfortable. Don't do that again," one user tweeted. "We women so often get touched, kissed, groped & poked in instances exactly like this (at an event, at work, etc). WE DON'T LIKE IT. It's time to no longer let these moments of discomfort slide."

"Damn, Beyonce looked extremely uncomfortable," another added. "Omari Hardwick night have just got the new season of power cancelled messing around with the Beyhive."

Another unleashed a subtle threat at Omari as writing on his Instagram post, "You tried my Queen with that 2nd kiss! You fine but you ain't that fine! Count your days." Someone else commented, "So you're the dude that got too close to Beyonce? Come outside I just wanna talk."

Some others, however, defended Omari and dismissed the kiss on the lips as nothing more than an awkward moment. "Pep making a big deal out of the Omari Hardwick kissing Beyonce on the cheek while saying bye," one of them wrote. "He was being polite saying hi and bye. The timing was just awkward. Don't make this a man crossing the line thing. Ya'll out here really trying to make something out of nothing! #power."

Omari has not responded to the backlash or addressed the awkward kiss. His show "Power" won Outstanding Drama Series at the NAACP Image Awards, where Jay-Z was awarded with the President's Award for distinguished public service. The rapper dedicated his prize to the women in his life, saying in his speech, "I grew up believing I could do anything, that I could accomplish anything because of those strong women in my house."
