Breaking news of Bundy's passing is promoter friend David Herro who thanked the former wrestling legend for believing in him via a tribute post he shared on Facebook.

AceShowbiz - Hulk Hogan has paid tribute to fellow wrestling legend King Kong Bundy, who has died at the age of 61.
The mountainous sportsman, real name Christopher Alan Pallies, who competed against Hulk in the World Wrestling Federation, now known as the WWE, in the 1980s passed away on Monday, March 04, according to his promoter friend David Herro.
Upon hearing the news, his rival, real name Terry Bollea, tweeted, "Overwhelmed by King Kong Bundy's passing, only great memories,R.I.P. big man until we meet again. HH."

In a Facebook post revealing his pal had died, David wrote, "Today we lost a legend and a man I consider family. Rest in Peace Chris. We love you. Thank you for believing in me."
Pallies was one of wrestling's biggest stars of the 1980s and took part in a memorable match with Hulk at the second WrestleMania event in 1986. Their face off was the first ever steel cage match on WWE's biggest night of the year.
He left the promotion in 1988 and went into semi-retirement but returned in 1994 before leaving again the following year.
The late star also had a career as an actor and appeared in the TV show "Married... with Children" and in the 1988 Richard Pryor film "Moving".
In 2016 Pallies was named as part of a class action lawsuit alleging that wrestlers incurred "long term neurological injuries" from their time in the ring and that WWE bosses had failed in their duty of care. The case was dismissed last September.
