AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande might be skipping the 2019 Grammy Awards, but she still made sure to watch the show and live tweet her reaction throughout the night. After Cardi B was named the winner of Best Rap Album for "Invasion of Privacy", the Nickelodeon alum seemed to be incredibly upset because her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, didn't win the accolade.
When Cardi was delivering her winning speech, Ariana shared three messages on the micro-blogging site which read, "trash," "f**k" and "literal bulls**t." She immediately deleted the tweets afterward, but fans were quick enough to screenshot the tweets and spread it across social media. Her tweets prompted people to believe that it was directed at the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker.
Before more people got the wrong idea, Ariana clarified that she wasn't lashing out at Cardi at all. "Nothing to do with her. Good for her. I promise. I'm sorry," she said in a since-deleted tweet. When one fan pointed out that the female emcee was indeed a "trash," Ariana came to her defense by saying, "She's not at all and that's not what I meant and u know that."

Ariana then detailed that she was upset by the fact that the Recording Academy invited Mac's parents to the event only to learn that their son lost his final chance to win a Grammy. "THEY INVITED HIS PARENTS OUT. NO," she said, before adding in another tweet, "Karen [Mac's mother] was gonna have a green suit made... He slept in the studio for two months."
Again, the tweets have since been deleted by the "Thank U, Next" singer.
Cardi herself has paid tribute to Mac following her win that night. Posting a video on Instagram, she said, "I read an article that Mac Miller's family said that if he don't win, they want me to win, so I'm sharing this Grammy with you, motherf***r! Rest in peace!"
