The music video, which the rapper directs herself, follows Teyana as a shy upstart trying to break into the ballroom dance scene.

AceShowbiz - Following the release of her album "K.T.S.E." last summer, Teyana Taylor is back with a new music video for a track off the record. The 28-year-old rapper unearthed the visuals for the closing and fan-favorite track from the album, "WTP", on Wednesday, January 23. Teyana directed the eight-and-a-half-minute visuals herself.

The music video follows Teyana as a shy upstart trying to break into the ballroom dance scene. Her housemates don't think that the rapper can make it, though, and even bully her over the matter. "It takes ball to walk a ball, and I don't think she got it," one of her housemates says of Teyana, before showing off her own moves. But Teyana begs to differ, saying, "I just don't understand why I'm not good enough to work my p***y at the ball. You know I can work this p***y."

Ignoring what her housemates say, Teyana joins the ballroom dance competition, turning into a completely different person once she puts on her red wig. Teaming it up with a lingerie and a fur coat, she hypes up the crowd with her twerks and vogues. When the audience has totally been captivated by her presence, Teyana decides to disappear from the scene, prompting Lena Waithe to ask where she goes.

"Some real next level -- look like Grace Jones and Janet Jackson had a baby, like she had this body suit on, like someone painted on her and s**t," Lena gushes over Teyana. "She had the boom. It's just everything I've been looking for. You know, I've been working on my vision board. What I want and need stand next to me, so I can really get to the level that I'm trying to get and I just feel like that's the level up. She's not on no regular s**t."

The end of the music video sees Teyana having an intimate moment with her husband Iman Shumpert, who goes shirtless.

Teyana has been vocal about her love for ballroom culture, so it comes as no surprise that she chooses to make the underground LGBT culture as the theme of her music video. "Everybody that knows me knows that I live for that. I've been in that scene since I was a 15-year-old. They have been sneaking me into the balls," she previously told Billboard in an interview. "I have been honorary in their house. It began at a young age. So, I have always appreciated the culture. I am really just a gay boy in a woman's body, for sure."
