AceShowbiz - The music video for Kehlani's new single "Nights Like This" featuring Ty Dolla $ign has been released for viewing pleasure. Making its way out on Thursday, January 10, the visuals sees the R&B singer bringing back a female android back to life and befriending it.

It opens with the unidentified female robot collapsing in front of her house, before the singer brings it inside and tries to repair it. When Kehlani is hard at work, her collaborator suddenly comes in her lab to give her something she needs to repair the robot. Ty appears to notice something strange with the robot and goes on warning Kehlani, but she ignores it.

Things get a little bit complicated after she finishes repairing the robot. The two build some kind of bond which allows them to understand each other's feelings just by touching their chest. But towards the end of the music video, the female android puts Kehlani on a wheelchair and takes over her body. She also kills Ty when the latter appears to raps his verse, before getting in her car and driving away.

"Nights Like This" is the first release from her upcoming mixtape and marks her first collaboration with Ty. In an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, she gushes over her collaborator, "I love Ty. We've made songs and it just hasn't come out because it hasn't been the time. This was just the perfect time for us both to finally put something out."

Besides her forthcoming mixtape, which is due out in February, Kehlani is also working on a new album which is inspired by her parents. "My next official album is a story," she says during the interview. "I'm telling stories I've never told. It's my parents' story articulated into mine, articulated into a gift for my daughter, so she knows where she comes from."
