The "Sweet Dreams" singer marked the occasion with a bash at Los Angeles' Madame Siam, and shared snaps on his Instagram page. One of the most touching moments from the evening came when the guests sang happy birthday to the singer, with Marilyn appearing touched as he listened to the raucous rendition.
A video of the moment was posted to Instagram by actress Elizabeth De Razzo, who wrote, "Glad I came out to celebrate my buddy @marilynmanson Love this guy! #marilynmanson #birthday #birthdayboy #2019 #hollywood."
The clip ended with Marilyn sticking his finger into the cake to enjoy a taste of the icing.
Other partygoers at the event included the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O, Korn star Jonathan Davis and YouTube sensation Poppy, who said in an interview with NME last year that she was keen to work with Manson.
"I would really love to work with Max Martin. Also Walt Disney and Marilyn Manson. He's just a legend," she said. "I've talked to him before. He said that he likes my videos and then I said that I like his art. I met him on Twitter too. I tend to meet everyone on Twitter, but poor Twitter. Twitter doesn't seem to be doing so well right now."
Guests at the party were treated to beverages including Absolute Elyx vodka, Avion Tequila Blanco, Smooth Ambler Whiskey or G.H. Mumm Champagne, according to a special drinks menu created for the occasion.
