A little more than a month after expressing his gratitude for being sober, the former Whiskeytown frontman encourages others to keep the faith in trying times.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Ryan Adams is heading into 2019 with a clear head after celebrating 60 days sober.

The "New York, New York" hitmaker took to Twitter on Friday, December 28, to reflect on his difficult year and show off his 60 days sober chip, which is typically given out at Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

"2018: you brought me to my knees," he wrote. "It turns out that's where I needed to be: in prayer for everyone here or lost. In these trying times, God bless everyone struggling or on the path to empathy, kindness and recovery. Keep the Faith. & may the Faith keep you (sic)."

Adams also opened up about his sobriety last month in a post over America's Thanksgiving holiday.

"Today I am thankful for my sobriety, my friends & for the program & all the Jedi passing along wisdom," he wrote on the social media site. "I know people are struggling & alone on the holidays. But you are NOT ALONE. Everyday is a new opportunity to grow, to reach for the light. Keep the faith. You are loved."

Adams' sobriety was tested by comments his ex-wife Mandy Moore made earlier this year shortly before she remarried.

The "This Is Us" star suggested she made a big mistake marrying the singer/songwriter in 2009, revealing she was never happy in the relationship.

"When I think back to that particular time period that we're talking about... it was heavy," she told Bustle. "It was dark. It was confusing. It was lonely. There was no room for me. There was no room for me to have anything else in my life."

"(It was) not the smartest decision. I didn't choose the right person... (I was) spiritually and fundamentally stuck."

Mandy and Ryan split in 2015 and officially divorced a year later.

She is now married to another musician, Taylor Goldsmith.
