The beloved 2003 movie also ranked high as the funniest Christmas film, while 69 per cent of voters said watching "Elf" is an annual holiday tradition, and 63 per cent regularly quote lines from the film to their friends and family during the holidays.
"Elf delivers that perfect blend of holiday nostalgia and unforgettable cinematic moments, combining to form the very definition of an instant classic," said Fandango managing editor Erik Davis.
"Not only does it feature one of Will Ferrell's most memorable performances, but its heart and humour are infectious. It's a film that I absolutely must screen with my family every year, and that same tradition has become commonplace in so many other households around the world."
