It is still unclear what role the '13 Reasons Why' actress is tackling, but it is said that she has already filmed her scenes in the follow up to 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

AceShowbiz - Katherine Langford is to star in "Avengers 4".

The "13 Reasons Why" actress will appear in the upcoming and untitled "Avengers" film, according to The Wrap.

Katherine has already filmed her scenes, although details of her character and plot are still under wraps.

A rep for the Australian actress has not yet commented on the report.

Katherine earned a Golden Globe nomination for her breakout role as Hannah Baker in the Netflix teen drama series, in which she played a high school student who left behind a series of tapes after her suicide.

The 22-year-old appeared on the show – produced by Selena Gomez – for the first two seasons, but will not return for 2019's third season.

Selena's mother, Mandy Teefey, who is also a producer on the show, congratulated Katherine in a post on Instagram.

"@katherinelangford Congrats!! Also Congrats to WME and Brillstein!!! Work that Marvel Franchise girl!!! Well deserved!!! XO," Mandy, 42, wrote in the caption.

Katherine has previously starred in "Love, Simon" and "The Misguided", and is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series "Cursed" – a retelling of the legend of King Arthur in which she will portray Nimue, a teenage sorceress destined to become the powerful Lady of the Lake.

"Avengers: Infinity War" was released in April, and starred Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson. The blockbuster Marvel movie earned over $675 million (£526 million) at the U.S. box office and a more than $2 billion (£1.5 billion) worldwide.

The fourth "Avengers" film is due to be released in May 2019.
