Addressing the 2016 incident, the talent manager claims that his time apart from the 'Breathin' singer actually makes the two of them grow closer after she rehired him months later.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande rehired manager Scooter Braun months after firing him in 2016 when her bad boyfriend left and she "saw the light."

The "No Tears Left To Cry" parted ways with the music manager in February 2016, three years after signing to his roster of clients, but they reunited that September.

In a candid interview with Variety, Scooter admits that he didn't speak about it publicly at the time because he was convinced she would return to him, and she did once she had ditched a boyfriend that was a bad influence.

"With Ariana, I could have said a lot of stuff, and in fact my team wanted me to, because they were p**sed," he said. "But I said 'We're not gonna say a word, and this is gonna come back around.' They were like, 'Never take her back!,' but I just said 'Let's stay quiet and let our truth be our actions.' "

"And when s**tty boyfriends leave (laughter), she starts to see the light on some stuff, and one day I got a phone call. She said 'Can I see you tomorrow?' and I said, 'No, I'm busy' - I actually couldn't, so I said 'I could see you Thursday' or whatever and I went over there and we had a very honest conversation."

While the manager didn't specify which boyfriend, Ariana broke up with back-up dancer Ricky Alvarez that summer after a year of dating.

Scooter, 37, explains that their time apart made him a better manager, as it was the first time he had been fired, and they are now really close.

"It made me and her really tight, because now when we get into those fights and she's coming at me, I just go, 'Woah, do you want to go back to where we were?,' and then it kinda calms down," he explained.

"And that relationship we had, from being fired to getting back together, really gave us the strength for what we never imagined would come that following year."

Scooter was referencing the terror attack which took place after Ariana's concert at the Manchester Arena in May 2017. Together, they organised the star-studded One Love Manchester fundraising concert within the space of two weeks after the tragedy, which claimed the lives of 23 people.
