AceShowbiz - Robert Pattinson has apparently gone against Catherine Hardwicke's warning in regards to romancing Kristen Stewart. The director of the first "Twilight" saga movie disclosed the fact that she had forewarned the British heartthrob as she looked back at the attraction the co-stars had toward each other.

The director and co-writer of "Thirteen" spilled to Us Weekly that she made the advise after the "Queen of the Desert" actor had his first reading with the "Charlie's Angels" actress. "I think when Kristen walked away I said, 'Now, Rob, I want you to know, Kristen is underage. She is 17 and in our country, illegal,' " she reminisced.

Still, Catherine couldn't deny the intense chemistry Robert and Kristen shared. "You could just tell that they were intensely fascinated by each other. You know? I saw that right there in my own living room," the 62-year-old filmmaker gushed, "I was like, 'Oh, my God.' " She further added, "It was powerful. I could tell their fascination for each other."

Despite the warning, Robert and Kristen ended up dating for four years. The now former couple first went separate ways in 2012 after the "Snow White and the Huntsman" actress got caught in a scandal for kissing married director Rupert Sanders. Shortly after, she issued a public apology declaring her love to him, and they got back together again. However, the lovebird ended up splitting for good in May 2013.

Robert and Kristen caught headlines once again in June 2018. The two were caught on camera hanging out together at a birthday party for Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose Depp at the Chateau Marmot Hotel in Los Angeles. One eyewitness claimed that Robert was talking to Kristen quietly when they were in the valet area.

Robert has since moved on singer FKA Twigs, before dating Suki Waterhouse. In the meantime, Kristen has been in a relationship with Stella Maxwell since 2016.
