AceShowbiz - "The Apprentice" producer Mark Burnett and Tom Arnold apparently got into an altercation at a pre-Emmys party on Sunday night, September 16. Tom, who is set to premiere his upcoming show "The Hunt for the Trump Tapes", took to Twitter to accuse Mark of attacking him.

"Mark Burnett just went apes**t & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain," the "Roseanne" alum tweeted. "I'm waiting for LAPD."

Tom's lawyer Marty Singer confimed the scuffle, adding that Mark "attacked" his client at the Evening Before Emmy party, a fundraiser for the Motion Picture Television Fund.

Meanwhile, Mark's actress wife Roma Downey hit back at Tom, claiming that the latter "tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event." Alongside a photo of a bruise that she allegedly got that night, the 58-year-old "Touched by an Angel" star continued, "Is your TV show worth it Tom?Please stop."

Tom responded to Roma's tweet and called it "bulls**t." He went on saying, "You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psycho. I'm filing police report & suing you for defamation." In another tweet, he added, "Roma knocked Bryan Fogel's phone out of his hand after Mark Burnett chocked me. Bryan came with me. He won the Oscar this year for his amazing documentary Icarus. He has tape."

Comedian Patton Oswalt seemingly confirmed the brawl as he posted a selfie with the "True Lies" star. "i'm with @TomArnold, everyone. He’s okay. We gotta protect this brutal angel," he captioned the snap.

Tom's upcoming show is set to show his attempts to find tapes that Tom says show Donald Trump expressing bigoted views on the set of "Apprentice". That was most likely the reason why the two got into a heated fight at the event. However, some suspected that the scuffle was actually a stunt.

"The Hunt for the Trump Tapes" will premiere on September 18 on Viceland.
