The actress apparently is not the only who is determined to make the recent rehab stint the last for Ben, as the actor is reportedly 'fully focused on regaining his sobriety.'

AceShowbiz - Despite splitting, Jennifer Garner has cared a lot about Ben Affleck. The "Love, Simon" actress recently staged an intervention to make the Batman depictor get help over his alcohol addiction after it was reported that the actor crawled back to booze following his split from ex-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus.

This time around, Jennifer allegedly doesn't want her efforts go to waste as she makes sure that Ben won’t be getting away with a short stay at his treatment facility. "Jen has made it very clear to Ben that leaving rehab is not an option right now, for him or the kids," a source close to Jennifer tells HollywoodLife.com.

"Jen loves Ben with all her heart and she always will…he’s the father of her children and will always remain dear to her, but she’s growing weary of constantly picking up the pieces after him," the source continues.

"Jen knows it's a sickness, and that Ben himself is a good and loving person, but his drinking has wreaked havoc and negatively impacted the lives of others for decades now, and it's time for him to get a grip of it for once and for all," adds the source. "Sober Ben is the most amazing, kind, funny and warm person you will ever meet, but drunk Ben is very dark, and nobody wants to be around that."

Ben checked into rehab on August 22 when Jen drove the "Justice League" actor to The Canyon Treatment Center at Peace Park in Malibu, where a private room at the facility costs $130,000 for 30 days.

Jennifer apparently is not the only who is determined to make the recent rehab stint the last for Ben. The 46-year-old actor himself is reportedly "serious" about his sobriety. "Ben is still in rehab and has not left. He's doing OK," another source reveals to E! News. "He seems serious about living in for at least 30 days."

Another source adds to HollywoodLife.com, "Ben really does want to be sober, his life becomes a mess when he falls off the wagon, but it's a difficult, and never ending battle. It took Ben years to accept the fact that he’s an alcoholic. "

"He had watched his father abuse alcohol when he was a child, before becoming sober in later life, and he swore he wouldn't follow the same path himself," says the source. "Ben fooled himself for the longest time that he just liked to 'party' and that drinking wasn't an issue for him, but the more he became aware of the hurt he would cause to those around him while he was drinking the more he started accepting that he needed help."

The "Gone Girl" star reportedly "really wants to break free of that hold though." The source adds that he is "determined to get a grip on his alcoholism, he's taking his rehab treatment incredibly seriously and he’s fully focused on regaining his sobriety. "

It's said that Ben "doesn't like the person that he becomes when he drinks, and he wants to be a better man" for the sake of himself, Jen, and their kids, Violet (12), Seraphina (9) and Samuel (6).
