A new report suggests that Looker, a psionic superheroine turned vampiric vigilante, will head to the second season of The CW's series.

AceShowbiz - Another member of DC Comics' Outsiders is reportedly heading to The CW's "Black Lightning". The series is said to be looking for an actress to play the role of psionic superheroine turned vampiric vigilante Looker.

According to That Hashtag Show, the show's casting announcement suggests that it is looking to cast a Caucasian actress in her early 20s who would be a major recurring guest star. The description fits the character, who is depicted as "a youthful looking woman with a soul that has lived for a long time, whose eyes are ethereal and whose look is penetrating."

The site goes on adding that the producers were specifically asking for "submission of star names" for consideration for the role.

Looker debuted in Batman and The Outsiders #25 back in September 1985. Looker a.k.a. Emily Briggs had her life changed forever after being kidnapped by emissaries of Abyssia. Emily underwent a transformation that left her incredibly beautiful as well as formidably powerful after being forced to be exposed to the rays of a piece from the Halley's Comet. She was later attacked by a vampire, causing her to become one herself.

"Black Lightning" name-dropped her back in a season 1 episode titled "LaWanda - The Book of Burial". The episode saw library worker Grace Choi asked Anissa Pierce out to a superhero-themed costume party as the former suggested her ideas to cosplay Supergirl or Looker.

In addition to Looker, The CW's series is reportedly looking to cast Janga in a possibly recurring role. Janga is depicted as an African-American male in his late 20s who is both bad-ass and strong fighter. Also, the producers might add Thierry in the upcoming sophomore season. The character is described as a deaf, "daunting leader as well as a dad who is sweet and powerful." The casting call suggests that they look for an African-American male in his late 50s and must be able to sign ASL, be fluent in it as well as be hearing impaired.

Developed by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, "Black Lightning" marks the first black superhero show on The CW's Arrowverse. They also executive produce the series along with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. Season 2 of "Black Lightning" premieres on Tuesday, October 9 on The CW.
