The newly-announced premiere date may be a little surprising for the hit historical drama's fans.

AceShowbiz - Mark your calendar, guys! Starz has announced the premiere date for season 4 of "Outlander". The popular romantic drama will head to the New World on November 4.
A November premiere date may be a little surprising for the drama's fans considering the show premiered season 1, 2 and 3 in August, April and September respectively. It prompts people why Starz releases each season of "Outlander", which has been renewed for season 5 and 6, in different timing.
The premiere date announcement arrives after the network released first-look teaser last month. The teaser saw Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) arriving in North Carolina, where a new danger was waiting. The footage offered the first look at the famed River Run. Also glimpsed in the teaser was home to Jamie's aunt Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), who welcomes the pair at the River Run.
However, it turned out that it would't be easy for Jamie and Claire to make their "make a home together" dream come true since a new danger arrives almost as soon as they set their feet in the new world. As someone threw a rock at their window, Jamie said, "It's not safe here."
Based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, the historical drama follows Claire, a WWII combat nurse who finds herself mysteriously thrown back in time to 1743 Scotland. Season 4 will be based on "Drums of Autumn", the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's book series. The production was recently wrapped in Scotland.
"Over the last three seasons, Jamie and Claire didn't know where they are going to live," executive producer Matthew B. Roberts previously told EW about the upcoming season, which theme is "home." Roberts added, "They never plant their feet. Now they're getting to that place that they can call home. But the meaning of home is different for people. That's what we will dig into in season 4."
"Outlander" is also starring Lauren Lyle, Cesar Domboy, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin.
