The singer writes on Twitter, 'I apologize if I spoke too soon as there was no witnesses or evidence to support any conclusion for the cause of his death.'

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa is clarifying the condolence statement she issued following Zombie Boy model Rick Genest's death last week, ends August 03.

The heavily-tattooed model, known as Zombie Boy, was found dead after a fall from his apartment in Montreal, Canada on Wednesday, August 01. He was aged 32.

Following the sad news, the Poker Face hitmaker stated he had taken his own life.

"The suicide of friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy is beyond devastating," she wrote in a now deleted tweet. "We have to work harder to change the culture, bring Mental Health to the forefront and erase the stigma that we can't talk about it. If you are suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other".

While police officials have ruled Genest's death as a suicide, his manager, Karim Leduc, has told TMZ reporters that family members think his death was an accident.

The new development prompted the Poker Face hitmaker - who worked with Genest on her 2011 music video for Born This Way - to revisit her initial posts on the tragedy.

"Out of respect for Rick's family, Rick & his legacy I apologize if I spoke too soon as there was no witnesses or evidence to support any conclusion for the cause of his death," she tweeted Saturday, August 04. "I in no way meant to draw an unjust conclusion. My deepest condolences to his entire family and friends".

She added, "The art we made was sacred to me and I was emotional, he was an incredible artist and his art and heart will live on. Rest In Peace. You beautiful soul".

According to Leduc, the star was "very focused" on his upcoming projects, including a new music video for a single titled Monster Inside, and had a "very positive" mindset. He asserted that Genest was not a drug user and was sober at the time of his death.

The manager previously revealed that Genest did not leave a suicide note, which his family members found odd, and that they believe he was smoking a cigarette and was leaning against the balcony railing of his apartment when he fell to his death.
