The 77-year-old singer calls the accusations 'lies,' saying, 'My sister would never, ever have done anything to do any harm to any child, especially within our family.'

AceShowbiz - Dionne Warwick has slammed allegations her late sister Dee Dee Warwick molested Whitney Houston when she was young.

In new documentary Whitney (2018), the tragic singer's longtime assistant claimed Whitney told her that her cousin, Dee Dee, molested her as a child, and Whitney's oldest brother Gary also alleged he was one of her victims.

After the accusations arose in the film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, Whitney's mum Cissy Houston released a statement to People magazine on behalf of herself and Dionne, insisting they were unaware of the allegations against Dee Dee until two days before director Kevin Macdonald's movie came out.

"My niece Dionne Warwick and I make this statement to raise our voices above the din surrounding the release of the film, Whitney," Cissy wrote in July. "Although the film is marketed as a Houston Family approved/endorsed project, neither my son, Michael, Dionne nor I knew of the allegations of abuse, the direction the film would take, until two days before the screening at Cannes.

"We cannot, however, overstate the shock and horror we feel and the difficulty we have believing that my niece Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne's sister) molested two of my three children...".

And now Dionne is blasting the accusations as "lies".

"I have tried to refrain from responding to that," she tells Larry King Now in an upcoming interview. "First of all, it's totally hogwash. My sister would never, ever have done anything to do any harm to any child, especially within our family. And for those lies to be perpetuated in this so-called documentary film (Whitney), I think it's evil".

"I will never, and I mean this, ever forgive those who perpetuated this insanity," she adds.
