AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid is totally unlike her usual self in the cover of Love magazine. To celebrate its 10-year anniversary and 20th issue, the magazine has released a series of September covers, including a nightmare-inducing shot of Gigi.
In the picture, the 23-year-old model wears a demonic Donnie Darko-style bunny mask that completely hides her beautiful face. Her pose makes it appear that she's lurking behind a cute little dog, as if she's preying on it.
The picture has quickly gained attention, but not for positive reasons. "I love my queen but this is a no no," one commented on Gigi's Love magazine cover. Another jokingly said, "I'm calling PETA!" One other wrote, "Not A Good Cover Looks Like Shes Raping The Dog."
"Hang on. Is this dog okay? Looks massively uncomfortable you bunch of horrible folk," another concerned Instagram user wrote. "Gloriously horrifying, I think I've seen this in my nightmares," read another comment.
Previously, the magazine shared another version of its cover featuring Gigi where she looks pretty normal. She wears a pair of $262 Fleet Ilya leather bunny ears while her wavy blonde hair was let unruly.
But haters always find things to hate for. "Was this her best shot??" one baffled Instagram user wondered. Another commented, "How did this picture become a cover? Yikes." Read another comment, "She looks so... empty. Not an amazing photo."
Some others, meanwhile, criticized the magazine for not considering other models for its covers and frequently featuring a rotation of the Hadid sisters and the Kardashian-Kendall sisters. "The magazine is a joke @kegrand shame all magazine are kendall , gigi, kim, etc, you no have new ideas?" one of them pointed out.
