The former 'Melrose Place' star walked free from the Ventura County Mail on Monday morning, June 25.

AceShowbiz - Actress Heather Locklear has reportedly been released from jail following her battery arrest over the weekend (June 23-24).

The former "Dynasty" star was detained at her California home shortly before midnight on Sunday, June 24 and charged with two counts of misdemeanour battery upon an officer and emergency services personnel.

Locklear was allegedly intoxicated when a family member called the police to report a disturbance and the 56-year-old star reportedly punched a deputy who attempted to separate her from family members as officers arrived. She also reportedly kicked an emergency medical technician, who was trying to help paramedics place her on a gurney.

Locklear was subsequently taken to a hospital and then on to jail, where she was held on $20,000 (£15,000) bail.

According to The Daily Mail, she has now been released.

"This is a very serious situation," a source tells Us Weekly. "Heather refuses to get further treatment..."

Heather's parents have reportedly asked her boyfriend, Chris Heisser, to stay away from her to give her some space to get the help she needs.

This is the second time Locklear has been arrested on similar charges following an incident in February. She was charged with four counts of misdemeanour battery on an officer and one misdemeanour count of resisting or obstructing an officer after she reportedly attacked cops who intervened in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.

After the alleged incident, Heather entered a rehabilitation facility in a bid to tackle substance abuse issues, and last week (ends June 22), Heather was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold after allegedly choking her mother and attacking her father. The incident was treated as a medical matter and she was released from the hospital after three days.
