'It might not seem like it now, but this is more than just a fight,' Jordan's character Adonis Creed describes the situation he has to face when he meets Ivan Drago, the man who killed his father.

AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan strikes again in the ring as Adonis Creed in "Creed II". In the first trailer released by MGM on Wednesday, June 20, Adonis is seen preparing himself for a big fight against Viktor Drago, who is the son of Ivan Drago. The latter killed Adonis' father, Apollo Creed, in "Rocky IV" movie 30 years prior. Now, Adonis is set to fight an opponent with ties to his family's past.

"Rocky" star Sylvester Stallone, who reprises his role as Rocky Balboa in this "Rocky" spin-off sequel, can also be seen in the trailer mentoring Adonis. In one of the scenes, Rocky tries to warn Adonis that his opponent is dangerous and will do anything to win the fight, but Adonis replies that he got no choice but to fight him.

Rocky then reminds Adonis about his father saying the same thing before he died. "That's the same thing your father said and he died right here in my hands," says Rocky. He remembers how his friend died after fighting against Ivan Drago. After that, there's a montage of Adonis practicing hard in a boxing gym and underwater with Kendrick Lamar's song "DNA." played as the background sound.

One scene sees how Adonis has a conflict with his adopted mother. "I want to rewrite history," Adonis tells his mother, who then replies, "don't pretend this is about your father." Adonis' adopted mother seems to disagree with his decision in fighting against Viktor Drago.

"It might not seem like it now, but this is more than just a fight," Adonis concludes the situation by the end of the trailer.

Actor Dolph Lundgren from "Rocky IV" reprises his role as Ivan Drago in "Creed II" and real-life Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu will join him in the movie, taking the role of Viktor Drago.
