According to Randy Jackson, his sister made the call after being contacted by a 'terrified' nanny who helped Wissam Al Mana take care of their son at the Nobu Hotel.

AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson couldn't leave her son alone with her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana. The 52-year-old singer reportedly called police to perform a welfare check on one-year-old Eissa while he was with the Qatari businessman.

According to TMZ, the call came in to Malibu law enforcement on late Saturday, June 2. They were asked to check on her son while he was staying at the Nobu Hotel with her estranged husband. The site further reported that the police did perform the welfare check and found no one to be in danger. "Deputies were there [and] called to the scene. They decided the child was okay and left," a second source told PEOPLE.

While Janet has yet to comment on the report, Randy Jackson (II) told Entertainment Tonight that his sister called police after being contacted by a nanny who was helping Wissam take care of the child at the time. According to Randy, the nanny was "terrified by his behavior and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet."

The police reportedly asked Janet and Wissam to resolve the situation civilly afterward.

Janet ended her five-year marriage to Wissam in April, three months after welcoming their first child together. Months later, Randy revealed some troubling details about their marriage, claiming that Wissam was verbally abusive and made her feel like a prisoner in her own house.

"It was quite an abusive situation," he said. "It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a b***h everyday. There were things like that. That's what she went through."

However, a rep for Wissam denied the allegations, calling it "particular and deeply hurtful allegations."
