The Merc with a Mouth relentlessly knocks on David's door and apologizes to him, though the former soccer superstar doesn't understand what it is for.

AceShowbiz - "Canadians are born with a black belt in apology," according to Ryan Reynolds. He proves it by recruiting David Beckham to appear in the latest promo for "Deadpool 2", after mocking the former soccer superstar in 2016's "Deadpool".

"You ever heard David Beckham speak?" asks Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson in a scene that David watches and re-watches. "It's like he mouth-sexed a can of helium." Right at the moment, David receives a "sorry" text message from Wade, but he ignores it.

Deadpool, in his costume, then shows up at David's door with various things, from cookies to a mariachi band, to make amend with the British hunk. "Too soon?" Wade asks when he brings helium-filled balloons.

David eventually takes Wade's apology when the Merc brings two World Cup tickets. "I can't wait to not watch Italy play the Netherlands," David says. He and Wade hug it out, but it gets weird as the Merc squeezes David tightly and won't let him go.

But apparently David isn't aware what Wade is apologizing for. He thinks it's for a series of bad movies that Ryan Reynolds a.k.a. the Deadpool depicter starred in in the past. " 'Green Lantern', 'R.I.P.D.', 'Selfless', 'Blade Trinity', 'Boltneck'," David lists them.

" 'Boltneck' was a masterpiece!" Ryan/Wade yells in disagreement, prompting David to slam the door.

Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool in "Deadpool 2", which is slated to hit U.S. theaters on May 18. The plot centers on the Merc With the Mouth who tries to protect a young mutant, played by Julian Dennison, from the time-traveling mercenary Cable, played by Josh Brolin.

His quest leads to the formation of X-Force, which consists of Zazie Beetz's Neena Thurman / Domino, Briana Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jack Kesy's Black Tom Cassidy, Stefan Kapicic's Colossus, Terry Crews' Bedlam, Lewis Tan's Shatterstar, Bill Skarsgard's Zeitgeist and Rob Delaney's Peter. Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni will reprise their roles as Blind Al and taxi driver Dopinder, respectively. Morena Baccarin also returns as Wade's fiancee Vanessa, while T.J. Miller is back as Wade's best friend Weasel.
