The Joe Connor-directed clip also features scenes of a white horse, eerie masks, interpretive dancers and mysteriously sprouting butterflies.

AceShowbiz - Sam Smith is back with a new music video for his song "Pray" featuring Logic. Premiered on Wednesday, May 9, the visuals was directed by Joe Connor and was filmed at the famed Villa Erba near Lake Como, Italy.

The contemplative clip features the British singer donning a series of designer suits, including a striking red suit, while trading lyrics with Logic in the villa. Other scenes in the clip show a white horse, eerie masks, interpretive dancers and mysteriously sprouting butterflies. "Maybe I'll pray, pray/ Maybe I'll pray," Sam rhymes. "I have never believed in you, no/ But I'm gonna pray."

The visuals ends with Sam staring into the distance in front of the villa.

The "Pray" remix was premiered on Thursday, March 29. Logic previously said on Twitter that the song "is the most important feature I've ever done." He added, "Writing from the perspective of someone who feels unwanted and unaccepted. I'm here to tell you there are others like you! You're loved and you CAN be yourself!"

Meanwhile, Sam shared in a statement that the song was inspired by the time he spent in Mosul, Iraq with the charity War Child. "I spent five days in Mosul and came back embarrassed that I had know so little about the world and other people's lives," he said. "I went back to that great Nina Simone quote, that it is important to speak about times you live in."

"I hadn't done that," he continued. "I'd just written a bunch of songs about love. So I wanted to write about how now I'm starting to open my eyes, at 25, to what is going on in the rest of the world, and that it's not always pretty."

The original version of "Pray" was released in October 2017 and peaked at No. 55 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. It's included on his sophomore album "The Thrill of It All".
