A source reveals that the track, which was written by Andrew Wyatt, was originally set to be included on Miley's forthcoming seventh album.

AceShowbiz - British rocker Liam Gallagher is reportedly set to record a track originally meant for Miley Cyrus. The former Oasis frontman revealed he was returning to a Los Angeles studio to begin working with his songwriting collaborators Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt on the follow-up to his hit 2017 album "As You Were".

According to an insider, Liam may record a track written by Andrew that the pop princess dropped from her forthcoming seventh album.

"Liam and Andrew get on really well and the studio sessions have proven to be very fruitful so far," the source tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper. "Just before Liam got to L.A., Andrew had been in the studio with Miley laying down songs for her next album but some didn't fit. There's one track he thinks could be reworked as a big rock ballad for Liam."

The success of "As You Were" has reportedly persuaded him to place his trust in the writing duo, who have penned hits for the likes of Ke$ha, Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars. "In the past he might have refused to entertain the idea but after the success of his first solo record Andrew has the full trust of Liam," the insider adds. "He's willing to give it a go and see how it ends up."

The rocker certainly sounds impressed by the early results of writing sessions as he wrote on Twitter on May 1, "1st session of writing with the mighty Greg Kurstin and Andrew wyatt aka THE ARMY sounding BIBLICAL as you were LG x."
