The limited series will follow the fortunes of a group of friends over the course of four weddings and a funeral.

AceShowbiz - "A Wrinkle in Time" star Mindy Kaling has revamped hit movie comedy "Four Weddings and a Funeral" for the small screen. The actress and comedienne's new project, snapped up by bosses at streaming service Hulu, has the blessing of Richard Curtis, who wrote the original film - he has signed on as an executive producer.

Hulu executives announced the project, created by Kaling and her The Mindy Project sidekick Mark Warburton, on Wednesday, May 02, revealing, like the film, the limited series will follow the fortunes of a group of friends over the course of four weddings and a funeral.

The original 1994 film starred Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, and Simon Callow. The casting for Kaling's project has not been announced.
