The 20-year-old rapper has petitioned the court to have his 'gold and diamond medallions' returned to him, but a judge has yet to rule.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Kodak Black has filed paperwork to retrieve his personal items that were confiscated by police during a raid earlier this year. The hip-hop star, real name Dieuson Octave, was sentenced to serve a year behind bars after he was slapped with a number of felony counts following a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team raid on the Florida home he was sharing with friends in January (18).

According to The Blast, officers entered the home with "guns drawn and hoody masks on [and seized] record awards off the walls, art off the walls, brand new Apple computers and hard drives containing original music."

They also reportedly took "gold and diamond medallions" and $28,000 in cash.

Kodak has now petitioned the court to have the items returned to him, but a judge has yet to rule.

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old could be released by October 2018 and will not have to face anymore probation if his behaviour behind bars is exemplary, but the rap star still has another legal woe hanging over him. He is also facing prosecution for first degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly assaulting a teenage girl at a South Carolina hotel following a concert in 2016. He was indicted by a grand jury in October 2017 and freed on bail on 1 December 2017.

Kodak faces up to 30 years behind bars if convicted in that case.
