AceShowbiz - Chris Cornell's widow is teaming up with addiction policy forum to launch an online resource center for the families of addicts. The Addiction Resource Center (ARC) For Chris will provide support to families dealing with loved ones battling addiction, and provide them with links to medical professionals who treat the disease.
"Addiction is a preventable and treatable disease," Vicky Karayiannis a.k.a Vicky Cornell says. "While it's too late to bring Chris back, it's not too late for millions of other people who are struggling with addiction."
She added, "These resources are designed to connect people to the help they need - help that is often way too difficult to find - in the hope that other families are spared the loss that my family is experiencing. There is no better way to honor Chris than by saving lives."
Chris, who battled addiction for many years, hanged himself in a hotel room after performing in Detroit, Michigan last May. Vicky is convinced drugs played a major part in her husband's death.
