The 'So Sick' hitmaker reveals on Instagram that the song is about a woman that has 'her own self, her own heart and mind.'

AceShowbiz - Ne-Yo is back with new music. The singer-songwriter has tapped Bebe Rexha and British rapper Stefflon Don for a classic dancehall anthem entitled "Push Back" off his forthcoming album "Good Man".

The nearly four-minute track finds the trio showcasing their vocals over smooth drum sections and sleek melodies, giving off summer vibes. "Baby, push back when I jump behind it, when I jump behind it/ So when I jump behind it, push back on me," they sing. "So baby, push back when I jump behind it/ Oh, baby, let me know you like it."

"Push Back" is the second single off Ne-Yo's upcoming seventh studio effort, following title track "Good Man". Taking to Instagram, the singer revealed that the song is about a woman who "knows how to move."

He added, "I love a woman that has her own self, her own heart and mind. She's comfortable with her body. And when her song comes on, she's gonna get up and move. She's gonna show you just how confident and comfortable she is."

The album itself will be released on June 8 via Motown Records and Compound Entertainment. In an interview with Ebony, Ne-Yo shared that the new effort "is kind of a snapshot of where I am no in my life. This album is kind of a lead by example in regards to what it is to be a good husband to your wife, a good boyfriend to you girlfriend, a good brother to your brother and just a good guy to the world."

"I feel like we're right on time with this album because, you know, with sexual harassment case[s] here and rape charge[s] there," he continued. "I feel like it is time for us as men to be reminded what it is that we're supposed to do in regard to these women and how we're supposed to respect them and treat them."
