Besides denying the performance rumors, the Raw Spice says that the group's reunion is currently on hold as Victoria Beckham doesn't want to go on a tour.

Weeks after Spice Girls made fans excited when they announced their reunion, Melanie C has revealed that the plans are currently on hold. Speaking to The Sun at The Prince's Trust Awards on March 6, the Raw Spice shared that Victoria Adams a.k.a. Victoria Beckham refused to participate in a tour.

"Victoria has been quite vocal, it's really not something she wants to do at this time. Unfortunately I don't think you'll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year," Mel told the outlet, confirming that there are "no plans" for the other members to embark on a tour as a four-piece. "I think it has to be all five, so it's tricky," she said.

"It's very early stages, we're not talking about new music or going out on the road at this time," she added. "It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with Simon [Simon Fuller]."

Mel went on sharing that the highly-anticipated reunion might not be happening this year, adding, "We're all just dead busy. So if anything were to happen, it wouldn't be now." Instead, fans can expect a solo album from Mel. "There will be new music but just me. I'm making an album which will be out later this year," she said.

The singer also denied the group's royal wedding performance rumors during the interview. She told the news outlet, "I've met Prince Charles lots of times. I'm going to ask him where my invite is because I haven't got mine yet, obviously Mel B [Melanie Brown] has hers," adding, "I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke."

Rumors that the five-piece group will be performing at the royal wedding began swirling following Mel B's recent comment on "The Real". When asked whether the group will be performing at the nuptials, she answered, "I need to go. I'm gonna be fired."
