When asked if the iconic girl group will perform at the royal wedding, Mel plays coy by saying, 'I'm gonna be fired.'

AceShowbiz - It looks like Spice Girls is gearing up for their first gig since announcing their reunion. Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B just hinted during her recent visit to "The Real" that the iconic girl group would perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's highly-anticipated nuptials.

When co-host Loni Love asked the English songstress if she knew anyone who's going to the royal wedding, Mel nodded her head and said, "Yeah, I'm going." The hosts, as well as the audience, erupted in excitement the moment she said that.

"I don't know if I should have just said that," she added. "Us five Spice Girls are [going]." After realizing what she just blurted out, she said, "Why am I so honest?"

"Will the Spice Girls be performing at the reception?" Loni asked, leading Mel to let out a sigh. "I swear, I'm just, like..." she said in frustration. The hosts then began screeching and celebrating, believing that the girl group will perform. "I need to go. I'm gonna be fired," Mel noted while throwing her cue cards in the air.

Prior to this, it was reported that Ed Sheeran was asked to perform several songs at the upcoming nuptials. Victoria Arbiter, the royal correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, revealed to the webloid that the singer would perform during the evening reception if he accepted the offer.

"This is where everyone's really going to get down, this is for close friends and family," she said. "It's going to be hosted by Prince Charles and so I think if Ed Sheeran is going to be performing at any of them, it's going to be [the evening reception]."

Meghan and Harry are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor. Earlier this month, Kensington Palace unveiled details about the upcoming nuptials, hinting that it would be a fairytale wedding.
