Justin Theroux was seen stepping out in New York City for the first time following his shocking split from Jennifer Aniston. "The Leftovers" alum was seen casually hanging out with a friend in the city.
Donning an army-green coat, the 46-year-old actor was photographed with a bike and wearing a backpack on his back. Justin, who teamed his look with a grey beanie, black boots and sunglasses, was seen at the gym and grabbing coffee with a friend.
It seems like the former couple has been leaning on their closest friends after the split. Jennifer is also said to be doing so by having her friends over and hanging out together a lot. The "Friends" alum also celebrated her 49th birthday on February 11, just days before the big announcement of the split, with several of her close friends at former "Friends" co-star Courteney Cox's house.
"Her close friends knew about the split for several weeks before the announcement," said a source to PEOPLE. "She has a huge group of girlfriends who make sure she isn't alone."
"Jen truly has the best friends. They are real friends that she has had for many years. They always support each other," the source added. According to the source, Jennifer "is a great friend, who likes to organize fun get-togethers and host people," and now that she needs the support, "her friends take care of her."
"This might not be the happiest time for Jen, but she still tries to stay happy," the source continued saying of the actress, who has been spending time with celebrity yoga instructor Mandy Ingber. "For her, working out is very important. It helps her stay focused and happier. She works out most days."
Jennifer and Justin announced their separation on February 15. "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," the former couple said in a joint statement. "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."
