The '19 Kids and Counting' star gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Gideon Martyn Forsyth, on Friday, February 23.

AceShowbiz - The Duggar family has expanded once again. Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth welcomed their first child together on Friday, February 23. The baby weighed in at 10 lbs., 3 ounces and is 22 inches long. The couple named their newborn son Gideon Martyn Forsyth.
Joy-Anna and Austin took to their family's official website to share the first picture of their new bundle of joy. "We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Gideon Martyn Forsyth!!" so the couple wrote. "Joy and Gideon are doing very well and we are just in love with this new little addition!!"
Joy-Anna's parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar also left a message on the post, writing, "We are so thrilled for Joy and Austin! Children are a blessing from the Lord and we know that will be such great parents. We can't wait for this little one to grow up around all of these other grandbabies. We are so blessed and our hearts are overflowing."
The new parents later posted on Instagram more pictures of baby Gideon. One of the pictures saw Joy-Anna cradling Gideon as she gazed lovingly at her newborn, while another showed Gideon making a funny face in a blue-and-white striped onesie.
Joy-Anna and Austin announced that they were expecting in August last year. "We're so happy and thankful to announce that we're expecting a baby!" Joy-Anna told PEOPLE at the time. "Every child is such a precious gift from God. I'm most looking forward to watching Austin as a dad and raising children together with him."
The "19 Kids and Counting" star first met Austin when his family moved to Arkansas and started attending the same church as her family. Raised in a strict Christian home, both were expected to hold off sex until marriage and have their first kiss after saying "I do." They tied the knot last May in Rogers, Arkansas, after three months of engagement. The couple went to Switzerland for their honeymoon.
