Jennifer Lawrence is putting her hand to something entirely new, executive producing a TV series. "The Hunger Games" actress is said to be joining forces with Catt Sadler to produce a new series inspired by #MeToo, Time's Up and gender salary gap issues in Hollywood.

During an interview at The Wing, a co-working and community center for women, in New York City on Friday, February 23, the 27-year-old beauty let it slip about her upcoming project. "I'm going to be EP-ing a show with Catt Sadler, actually, which I wasn't supposed to announce, but I am," she said.

While Jennifer refused to provide more details about the new series, The Hollywood Reporter stated that it would be a docuseries inspired by #MeToo, Time's Up and gender wage gap conversations in Hollywood. Documentary filmmaker Stephanie Soechtig, known for exploring America's gun violence epidemic and its problem with obesity in such films as "Fed Up" and "Under the Gun", has been tapped to serve behind the lens.

A source revealed to the site that Jennifer and Catt are looking to take a deep dive into issues faced by women today.

Catt previously said that she and Jennifer had become close. "Jennifer Lawrence has become a friend of mine -- really, a hero of mine," the veteran entertainment anchor said during an interview in which she talked about her exit from E! due to salary disparity with her male colleague Jason Kennedy. "Long before my own experiences, her voice has been an empowering one and one I've always admired. To have her in my corner is hard to put into words, to be honest."

Besides executive producing, Jennifer expressed her interest in serving behind the lens. "I'd love to direct. Greta Gerwig asked me that, and I was like, 'Well, I wanted to and then you ruined it, because I'm never going to beat ['Lady Bird'].' I found that very discouraging because it's perfect," the "mother!" star joked.
