AceShowbiz - Justin Theroux seemingly isn't ready to publicly address his recent split from Jennifer Aniston. "The Leftovers" alum has pulled out his "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" appearance following his separation from the 49-year-old actress earlier this month.
The actor was originally scheduled to appear on the late-night show on Tuesday, February 20. However, the 46-year-old was absent in scheduled guest lineup released by the show on Monday.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who was set to appear on the Stephen Colbert-hosted show alongside Justin, has been moved to the evening's first slot. Meanwhile, actor Chris Gethard is tapped to fill in the second slot.
Justin and Jennifer announced their separation through a statement which read, "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."
Recent report stated that Jennifer allegedly found comfort in her ex-husband Brad Pitt during the rocky times in her marriage to Justin. "They have each other's numbers and communicate from time to time. Jen and Brad have remained friendly," said a source, adding that "she has leaned on him more over the past 15 months."
While the source said that the former couple was "absolutely not together," the source seemingly didn't rule out the possibility as "you cannot predict the future." Jennifer's publicist, however, denied the report, dubbing it "another fabrication."
It was also said that Brad wanted "to be far removed" from the drama between the "Zoolander 2" actor and the "Friends" alum. "But he knows he will be in the center of the tornado. He will do his best to avoid it and not address it. But he also knows that will be impossible. He just wants to get back to a normal life," said another source of Angelina Jolie's ex.
