Marvel Studios has kept its promise to release the first trailer for "Ant-Man and the Wasp" after teasing it at the "Black Panther" Hollywood premiere on Monday night, January 29. Set to the guitar riff from 1982's song "Ants Invasion" by Adam and the Ants, the video sees Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) teaming up in action.

Apparently Scott, Hope and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) are now on the run from the authorities and dealing with the situation by doing by what only they can do, like shrinking a building and carrying it around with them.

Introducing one of the movie's antagonists, the Ghost, the trailer also sees Scott and Hope trying to run away from thugs who chase them on the street, by turning a Pez dispenser into a weapon. There's also a glimpse of Laurence Fishburne who portrays Hank's former colleague.

At one point, Scott and Hank watch footage of Hope wearing her suit and fighting some bad guys. Hope uses wings and a blaster attached to her suit during the fight, making Scott baffled because Hank didn't arm him with the same weapons.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes "Ant-Man and the Wasp", a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War", Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Michelle Pfeiffer is added to the cast as Hope's mother Janet van Dyne, Walton Goggins stars as Cross Tech employee Sonny Burch, Michael Pena and T.I. return as Scott's pals, Judy Greer reprises her role as Scott's ex-wife, and Bobby Cannavale is cast as his ex-wife's fiance.

Directed by Peyton Reed who also helmed the first movie, the "Ant-Man" sequel is slated to arrive in the U.S. on July 6, two months after "Avengers: Infinity War".
