Pink may not be headlining this year's Super Bowl halftime show, but the "Beautiful Trauma" singer is being given her own performance at the annual championship. NFL announced on "Good Morning Football" on Monday, January 8 that Pink would be singing the National Anthem before the game starts. This marks Pink's first appearance at the Super Bowl.
"We have a huge exclusive announcement to make ahead of Super Bowl 52. You guys wanna know who's singing the National Anthem?" host Kay Adams asked her co-hosts, who excitedly answered that they wanted to know. "It's no other than the superstar Pink!" Upon hearing the news, host Nate Burleson commented that Pink is "iconic. Name another woman aside from Halle Berry that makes short hair a thing."

Pink will join the ranks of many performers who have sung the National Anthem at the big game such as Luke Bryan, Lady GaGa, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and more. In addition, on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf, actor Alexandria Wailes will perform in sign language both the National Anthem and "America the Beautiful".
As previously announced, Justin Timberlake would headline the halftime show, marking his first performance at the game since the infamous "nipplegate" incident. However, his headliner announcement didn't sit too well with many people, leading Justin to get determined to prove his haters wrong.
"It's hard for him not to read the negative comments about him doing the halftime show and he is disappointed that people are trying to tear down what he plans to be an amazing show," a source close to Justin told HollywoodLife.com. "He feels like he is going to give 110 percent and that the past incidents with [Janet Jackson] shouldn't be attacked. He plans to prove everyone wrong and make all the detractors eat their words!"
Prior to his upcoming halftime show performance, Justin will release his latest album "Man of the Woods". The singer has unveiled the visuals for the lead track off the album, "Filthy". The music video finds him channeling Steve Jobs as he presents his latest creation to a welcoming audience.
