Gwyneth Paltrow has finally confirmed her engagement to Brad Falchuk. The Pepper Potts of Marvel's "Iron Man" films said in a statement released on Monday, January 8 (via ABC's "Good Morning America"), "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives, when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship."
The couple also announces their engagement in Goop's Sex and Love issue which will be out on Tuesday. Speaking of why she decided to get married again, the 45-year-old actress says, "Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be. I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy."
Gwyneth and Brad met on the set of "Glee" in 2014, when she guest starred as substitute teacher Holly Holliday. Their dating rumors first sparked in July 2014, but it was only made official when they attended the L.A. premiere of "Scream Queens" together in September 2015.
Rumors of an engagement began circulating in November. At the time, Us Weekly reported that the television producer had popped the question to the actress, but she "is waiting to announce it on her website."
ET Online additionally said that the pair had been already engaged for over a year, but had kept it a secret. "She's had the ring a long time," a source told the site.
Gwyneth was previously married to Chris Martin for 11 years. They announced they're "conscious uncoupling" in March 2014, and their divorce was finalized in July 2016. They have two children together, 13-year-old daughter Apple and 11-year-old son Moses. Chris is now rumored in a relationship with "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress Dakota Johnson.
