Britney Spears to End Las Vegas Residency With Special Performance on 'New Year's Rockin' Eve'

Taking to her Instagram account, the pop superstar announces that she will end her Las Vegas residency on the annual show on December 31, performing 'Toxic' and 'Work B**ch!'.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is getting ready to say goodbye to her Las Vegas residency, but she has one final surprise for her fans. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, December 21, the pop superstar announced that her last performance would be broadcast on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve".

"Going to be ending 2017 with the last #PieceOfMe show ever and a special performance on @rockineve!! Tune in to ABC on 12/31 starting at 8/7c to watch!!" so she wrote along with a clip of herself donning a red lace crop top and jeans. "I'm saying goodbye to Las Vegas in 2017 with a special performance on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve'," Britney said in the clip. "Happy new year."

Britney is expected to perform her dance hits "Toxic" and "Work B**ch!" at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It will mark the first time Britney performs on the special show since 2002, when she belted out "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman". Also set to perform on the annual show are Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas, Bangtan Boys a.k.a BTS, Kelly Clarkson and more.

Back in April, the "Womanizer" songstress announced that she would be ending her residency by revealing the final dates of her shows. "As I prepare to say goodbye to 'Piece of Me', I had no idea how magical this experience would be," she said in a statement. "Having my fans from around the world come see my show has been amazing. I love Las Vegas and will miss performing this show."

The show, which first opened on December 27, 2013, has grossed over $100 million in ticket sales. Caesars Entertainment's senior vice president Jason Gastwirth stated that her residency "paved the way for other artists to make Las Vegas their home and as a result, the top entertainment destination in the world."
