AceShowbiz - Many musicians are gearing up for Christmas by releasing holiday tunes, and Miley Cyrus is no exception. The 24-year-old songstress has released her own country versions of holiday classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas tree" and "Sleigh Ride".
Recorded at Spotify studio in New York City, her cover of "Sleigh Ride" sounds more joyful compared to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", which sounds a little bit gentler. Despite that, listeners still get to hear Miley's powerful voice in both songs. "Our cheeks are nice and rosy/ And comfy cozy are we," she sings "Sleigh Ride". "We're snuggled up together/ Like two birds of a feather would be."
After the release of the covers, fans soon took to social media to gush over it, with one of them saying that he/she could only hear angel's voice in the songs. "All I hear is in an angel in those songs," the fan wrote. Another wished that the former Disney star would release a Christmas album. One other echoed the remark, "You need an entire album! Yas girl."
Both "Sleigh Ride" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas" are part of Spotify's Christmas playlist, which includes covers from Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith, Demi Lovato and more. DMX, who also takes part in the project, just released his own version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
In other Miley-related news, the songstress recently celebrated her 24th birthday by posting on social media all the presents that she got, including gifts from her fiance Liam Hemsworth. "My man killin the game already! This is just pressie #1! Thank you LiLi @LiamHemsworth," she tweeted along with a photo of a custom gold necklace with the actor's nickname in colorful gems.
Miley also shared a selfie of herself wearing hoop earings, which were another gift from the Australian hunk. "Lili turnt the birthday party! Bringin rainbow hoops! He says there's more comin! Hehe!" she captioned it.
