The 47-year-old singer announces that she will officially kick off her annual 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' tour on December 2 at Beacon Theatre in New York City.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Mariah Carey's fans have to wait a little bit longer before they can finally enjoy the diva's upcoming "All I Want for Christmas Is You" tour. After canceling the first several dates of the tour, Mariah announced on Twitter on November 24 that she had to cancel three more shows.

In her post, the 47-year-old singer stated that her doctors had ordered her to rest a little bit more before she could start her tour. "I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it's certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for!" she wrote. "Like most, I'm thankful for my overall health... for which I need a bit more time to get right."

"Doctors have ordered a few extra days before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas tour," she continued, adding, "While this news disappoints me to share, I am grateful to be on the mend and for the support from all of you - it means the world to me! See you from the stage soon darlings!"

Mariah was supposed to officially kick off her annual Christmas tour on November 27 in Las Vegas after postponing her first several shows in Windsor, Chicago and Bethlehem. However, with her recent health update, the tour will now begin on December 2 at Beacon Theatre in New York. It will be followed by three shows in Europe before continuing on to Las Vegas for five shows at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace.

The mother of two previously revealed that she suffered from an upper respiratory infection, leading her to postpone her first several Christmas shows. "It seems I've received a present of my own; a lovely upper respiratory infection after last week's flu. Bleak!" she shared. "You know there is nothing I love more than celebrating the holidays with my festive Christmas show, but I have to take my doctor's orders and rest until he says I can sing on stage."
