AceShowbiz - Alessandra Ambrosio has announced she's retiring from Victoria's Secret after 17 years with the lingerie brand. The 36-year-old model, who had her first runway show for the company in 2000, strutted her stuff for one last time while walking in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China, on Monday night, November 20.
Alessandra announced her retirement from the Angel duties to Entertainment Tonight just hours before hitting the VS runway for the last time. Her daughter, 9-year-old Anja, joined her in her final VS show, with the model closing it out her runway moment by blowing a kiss to the little girl from the catwalk.
Alessandra wants to focus on being a mom to her daughter and son, 5-year-old Noah. The Brazilian model is also said to be wanting to spend more time on her successful swimsuit line, "Ale by Alessandra", as well as looking forward to spending more time on her acting career. She's starring in "Daddy's Home 2", which is currently playing in cinemas.
The brunette beauty told ET she knew she and her fellow Angels and "family" would remain close even after her retirement. When hitting the catwalk at the Monday show held at the Mercedes Benz Arena, she strutted her stuff along with Candice Swanepoel, who made an epic return after giving birth last year, and Lily Aldridge.
Alessandra turned heads when showcasing a sizzling red lingerie set consisting of semi sheer bra and panties which highlighted her ample cleavage and toned stomach. Finishing up her incredible look when walking down the runway that night were Aztec-inspired heeled boots with colorful fringe detailing and a pair of statement woven wings which boasted floral accents.
At the event, Alessandra was also joined by other Angels like Josephine Skriver and Jasmine Tookes as well as models that included Victoria Lee, Kelly Gale, Ming Xi and Bella Hadid, the latter of whom suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she accidentally flashed the top of her nipples in her silver, two-piece lingerie set.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs November 28 at 10 P.M. on CBS.
