AceShowbiz - Disney has released the first full-length trailer for "A Wrinkle in Time", based on Madeleine L'Engle's timeless classic. The video opens with a look at Meg's (Storm Reid) life, which is pretty affected by the disappearance of her father, a scientist named Dr. Alex Murry who is played by Chris Pine.

Her friend Calvin (Levi Miller) takes an interest in her father's work. Meg and her mother explain the theory of time flexibility that Dr. Murry is studying to Calvin and before they realize it, Meg, her brother Charles (Deric McCabe) and Calvin are sent on a journey across dimensions of time and space in order to save her father.

They meet three ethereal beings, Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), who explain to them what happened to Dr. Murry. The three young characters also meet Zach Galifianakis' the Happy Medium, before they face the real challenges to become the warriors they need to be.

As we follow Meg and Co.'s journey, we are treated to mesmerizing visuals of the whimsical land as well as its magical creatures.

From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time", an epic adventure which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl's transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one's individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one's own light.

Also starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bellamy Young, Michael Pena, Andre Holland and Rowan Blanchard, the fantasy movie is scripted by Jennifer Lee, with Jim Whitaker and Catherine Hand as producers and Doug Merrifield as executive producer. The movie is due out March 9, 2018 in U.S. theaters.
