The 'Smash' alum plays it coy when asked about her rumored relationship with the music producer who is twice her senior.

Katharine McPhee finally addressed rumors that she was dating music producer David Foster. The "Smash" actress played it coy when asked by Health magazine for her cover story for its latest issue. "People can say whatever they want," she said.
"We're very close friends, and we've been friends for a long time. I'm really, really fond of him, and I think he's an incredible person. I've known him since I was 21 years old, you know? He produced my first single. So he's been really good to me," the songstress claimed.
Katharine McPhee, 33, was first romantically linked to David Foster, 68, in May 2017, the same month when he finalized his divorce from Yolanda Hadid. They have since been spotted together numerous times. The rumored couple was seen attending Los Angeles Lakers game together over the weekend.
Back in september, his daughter Erin Foster added fuel to the rumors by sharing on Instagram a picture of the couple getting cozy at Grammy Museum Gala. "Excited about my new step mom," she wrote. "My parents," she captioned another post.
"So we were sitting there at the table, and she said, 'Do you wanna, like, do a thing?' And I was like, 'OK.' So I mean, we were in on it. She's so funny - I mean, you saw what she wrote about 'my parents.' Truly, you think that's how she’d announce it? On Instagram?" McPhee commented on Erin's cheeky posts.
McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas. She announced their split in 2014 after 6 years of marriage. Months later, she was spotted locking lips with "Smash" director Michael Morris who was still married back then.
She then dated her "Scorpion" co-star Elyes Gabel. "I had a relationship with my lead actor on my show that was almost two years," she said in 2016. "I still am crazy about him, and we have a great working relationship. It's definitely not the easiest thing to get over someone you see every day! It's still an adjustment. But I haven't had anything super serious since."
Meanwhile, David Foster was married four times. He shares a daughter with his first wife and three more with his second wife. He also has another daughter from a previous relationship when he was 20. He gave her up for adoption and later reconnected with her when she was 30.
