Fans are thrilled when Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer is listed amongst well-known names that join "Ant-Man and The Wasp". The 59-year-old actress will be playing Janet van Dyne, the wife of Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, and the first look at the actress as the character has now surfaced online. The movie vet was spotted on the set in Savannah, Georgia as she was preparing to shoot a "park scene taking place in 1987" on Monday, October 30.

From Pfeiffer's Farrah Fawcet hairdo, Douglas' brown wig and baggy suit, they all suggested that the scene would be a flashback to the husband and wife in the 80s, before Wasp shrank down to disable rocket's circuit board during her employment for Peggy Carter's S.H.I.E.L.D. in Cold War and then disappeared in the Quantum Realm. In the set photos, Pfeiffer and her co-star Douglas were seen to have black dots on their faces, suggesting a CGI attempt to visually reverse their age later on.

The film is set in the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War". Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. In the midst of his struggles to re-balance his personal life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott once again has to put on the suit and fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

"Ant-Man and The Wasp" stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, who reprise their roles from the first film, 2015's box office hit "Ant-Man". The highly-anticipated sequel has also cast Laurence Fishburne, an actor well-known for his role as Morpheus in "The Matrix" series. The film is directed by Peyton Reed with Stan Lee serving as one of the executive producers. The film is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 6, 2018.
