Tamar Braxton Files for Divorce From Vincent Herbert, Seeks Full Custody of Their Son

The 40-year-old singer/TV personality filed legal docs in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 24 and is 'going to fight tooth and nail to get full custody' of their 4-year-old son Logan.

AceShowbiz - Tamar Braxton has split from husband and manager Vincent Herbert after nine years of marriage. TMZ first broke the news, stating that the "My Man" singer has filed for divorce from her music exec hubby. She filed legal docs in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 24, just one month shy of their ninth anniversary.

Tamar and Vince got married in November of 2008 after dating for about five years. They share one child, 4-year-old son Logan, together. Confirming their split, a rep for the 40-year-old singer/TV personality says, "At this time we can confirm Mr. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert."

Her rep continues telling PEOPLE in the statement, "Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important." The rep continues, "We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time," adding, "She appreciates everyone's love and prayers."

Tamar reportedly is seeking full custody of their son. A source tells HollywoodLife.com, "She's going to fight tooth and nail to get full custody of her son." The divorce paperwork reveals that not only does Tamar demand her son stay with her, she has also requested that the judge denies any kind of spousal support for Vince.

Tamar and Vince had a roller-coaster relationship ever since a domestic dispute in August 2016, when he allegedly bit her hand during an argument. Just hours after their divorce news broke, the season 5 trailer for their WeTV reality show just happened to coincidentally drop, and it's all about how's she's considering splitting from her manager hubby.

"With everything that I've been through this past year, I have chosen to overcome," Tamar says in the explosive trailer, before addressing her departure from "The Real" in May, admitting, "I was basically fired." Of her latest and final album, "Bluebird of Happiness", she says it "has everything to do with finding myself." She explains, "It started off being inspired by my parents’ divorce," adding, "And then it turned into my own life."
